Green House Resource Centre (GHRC) is a registered non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organisation incorporated under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as an Incorporated Trustee in August 2018.
Who we are
About Us
GHRC was established to improve the quality of life of vulnerable and underserved populations through social protection, entrepreneurship, education, capacity development, humanitarian action, and strategic partnerships.
Today, GHRC has expanded its mandate to address Nigeria's evolving social, economic, governance, and technological challenges through research, policy engagement, responsible innovation, and sustainable community development.

Our mandate
Six strategic mandates
- Social Protection and Human DevelopmentWe improve the wellbeing of vulnerable individuals and communities by promoting social welfare, quality education, public health, nutrition, child protection, women's empowerment, youth development, disability inclusion, and humanitarian assistance.
- Research and Public PolicyWe undertake interdisciplinary research, policy analysis, and knowledge generation to support evidence-based decision-making, strengthen institutions, and improve governance.
- Responsible Innovation and Technology GovernanceWe promote the ethical, inclusive, and sustainable development and governance of emerging technologies — including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, digital innovation, agricultural technologies, and climate solutions — so that innovation contributes to national development while protecting people, communities, and the environment.
- Entrepreneurship and Inclusive Economic DevelopmentWe support entrepreneurship, vocational skills, innovation ecosystems, financial inclusion, and livelihood development to expand economic opportunities, particularly for young people and women.
- Peace, Governance and Community ResilienceWe promote democratic governance, human rights, conflict prevention, peacebuilding, environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and community security to strengthen social cohesion and national stability.
- Partnerships and Institutional DevelopmentWe build strategic partnerships with governments, universities, development partners, the private sector, civil society organisations, and communities to mobilise knowledge, resources, and expertise for sustainable development.
Our flagship centre
Centre for Responsible Innovation (CRI)
The Centre for Responsible Innovation (CRI) is the flagship research, policy, and knowledge hub of Green House Resource Centre. The Centre promotes responsible approaches to science, technology, and innovation by bringing together researchers, policymakers, industry, civil society, and communities to address Nigeria's development priorities.
Through research, policy dialogue, capacity building, and collaboration, the Centre supports the development of innovative solutions that are ethical, inclusive, sustainable, and responsive to societal needs.

Governance
Board of Trustees
Green House Resource Centre is governed by a Board of Trustees responsible for strategic leadership, accountability, transparency, and institutional oversight, in accordance with the organisation's incorporation documents and constitution.
